Safety Valve Instruction Manual
I. Purpose / Applications
Suitable as pressure-relief devices for various heaters and heating systems, including pressurized solar water heaters, gas water heaters, electric water heaters, oil-fired water heaters, heat-pump water heaters, as well as air-conditioning and heating systems. It prevents excessive pressure build-up in the water heater and its system, thereby protecting the equipment and ensuring personal safety.
II. Basic Parameters
Set Pressure (MPa): 0.1 – 1.0 MPa
Set Pressure Tolerance (MPa): +5% / −10% of the setpressure
Maximum Working Temperature: ≤110 °C
Maximum Working Pressure: 1 MPa
III. Operating Instructions
The drain pipe at the safety valve outlet must be routed to a floordrain and kept open to the atmosphere so that drainage can be observed.
The drain pipe must be a rigid pipe matching the outlet size. Whenconnecting the drain line, make sure it does not affect the normaloperation of the valve.
Keep the water clean: dirt and scale can directly impair the properfunctioning of the safety valve.
A pressure-reducing valve must be installed in the hot water systemto prevent sudden pressure surges that could affect the normal operation ofthe safety valve.
Inspect the safety valve every six months. During inspection, turnthe drain (test) handle and observe whether water flows from the outlet. If water flows out, return the handle to its original position. If nowater flows out, the valve is defective — stop use and immediately contacta qualified professional for servicing or replacement.
The safety valve may be installed horizontally or vertically, butmust not be installed upside down, so as to prevent accumulation ofimpurities that could impair normal operation.
The drain pipe should be protected against freezing and leakage andkept clear, so as to avoid damage to property and personal injury.
IV. Warranty Period: 12 months.
V. Inspection: All safety valves undergo full inspection (100% inspection). Every product must pass the factory inspection before shipment.
